Paediatric First Aid Course

On Saturday 12 nannies took part in the first Paedeatric First Aid course Nanny Scout have organised. A lovely lady called Claire came to the venue in Ascot to deliver the course. Claire runs a company called Child Matters based in Marlow. The course covered all aspects of First aid required for Nannies that wish to be Ofsted registered including choking, burns and anaphalaxis. Claire arrived early to set up her equipment before the nannies descended. I was on duty to provide hot drinks and prepare lunch and take some photos. It was a shame Becky Young was unable to come along. I'm sure she could have taken some much better action shots than me!! Right from the start everyone listened carefully and asked plenty of questions. Claire was very personable and made everyone feel relaxed. One nanny commented on that it was excellent that Claire taught the cpr and choking elements of the course before lunch. As it was a small group there was a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Everyone was given plenty of opportunities to practice the skills they were learning. Even i didnt escape from being bandaged. I have recieved great feedback from all participants and will definitely be booking Child Matters for our next course.

g Child Matters for our next course.
