Unlike Employers, it is not a legal requirement for a Nanny to have Public Liability Insurance. However, we do recommend that any Nanny placed by us have it in place for the duration of their employment.
It is amazing how many people we speak to who are uninsured and have never thought about it. In this day and age, it is something we believe you should seriously consider. We also discuss this with Clients and suggest that they request their Nanny is insured as well as ensuring they have a policy in place as this is a legal requirement.
We spoke to Morton Michel and they provided us with the following information about their service.
